FAQ
How much gain do I need to recover a drawdown?
Required gain = 1 ÷ (1 − drawdown) − 1. A 20% loss needs a 25% gain; a 50% loss needs 100%.
How do I limit drawdowns?
Risk a fixed small percent per trade, set a daily max-loss rule, and review your journal for the setups and times that cause the biggest losses.
What is max drawdown?
The largest peak-to-trough decline in your equity curve. TapeLog's full kit computes it automatically from your trades.
